Getting Started
This page will help you get started with AssistantComputerControl in just a few minutes!
New to this software? Well let's get you up to speed!
A small note before we begin; saying and writing "AssistantComputerControl" takes too much time, so for short, we call it "ACC"!
"What is AssistantComputerControl" you ask?
ACC is the software that makes your assistant (Google Assistant & Amazon Alexa) love your computer; making you able to do stuff on your computer, using your voice!
You can say "things like Hey Google/Alexa, shut down my computer", and guess what happens next? My bet is you've guessed it, but if you didn't; spoiler alert it shuts down your computer! (say whatt)
A few of the things you can do are; restarting your computer, putting it to sleep zzz, locking, logging out, play/pause music or video - the list goes on!
Well, how do I get it?!
It's all very simple and completely free, you just have to...
- have a Windows or Linux computer, click here to download the installer (don't be afraid if your brower or Windows complains about the file being "unsafe", you can trust us)
- open the downloaded file and bam! The rest is in your hands. We trust you can press "Next" in the installer like a baws!
When the installer is done putting ACC on your computer, there's a tiny little super easy guide on how to get started, but after that, you don't even have to think about ACC anymore - it'll just be there, working, also like a baws. Ejoy!
Extra info and things
ACC is open source (meaning the entire source code can be found on GitHub, and people can contribute), and developed by a Danish student (mee) in my freetime.
Updates are automatically checked for, and all you have to do to get the latest version, is press "Yes" when it asks if you wanna update :)
